the lifts in orchard towers smell bad. vaguely bodily-fluidish. which i suppose should not be surprising, really. however, even the higher (i.e. higher than the 4th floor) floors smell bad.

one theory put forward is that the higher floors are ventilated by way of the lower floors. why this should be so is beyond me; however, it'd sure explain the smell.
